This 2 lb 3 oz loaf of bread is non-inflammatory and made from organic, NON-GMO hard red wheat. This is like the original natural bread that our great, great grandmothers made in a wood-burning stove. WHOLE CELL BREAD has a 10 day shelf life and is all natural nutrition. This bread has NO additives, chemicals or preservatives. What it does have is only six (6) ingredients: wheat, water, honey, flax, salt and yeast. WHOLE CELL BREAD uses patented machines and a patented process in which the wheat is gently crushed to keep the cells intact. The innermost cells are crushed, YET not broken, in this patented process. In normal processing of wheat, using hammer mills and cutting knives, the cell is opened and that allows gluenin and gliadin to merge in the presence of oxygen which makes gluten. Our process does not open the cell which makes it a complex carbohydrate and thereby reduces the likelihood of inflammation. WHOLE CELL BREAD is a locally family owned business. Our sole focus is providing the consumer with a 100% healthy bread choice that is non-inflammatory. Eating non-inflammatory foods is vital to our diet. Q: Like your other customers, I noticed mold on my loaf starting today. I didn’t noticed until I put the load away so I surely ingested it, eww. I really like it the first time I ordered it, so how do I know it won’t go bad again?

A: We apologize for the moldy bread. We have taken steps in the past to correct the issue and have just implemented more to combat the mold. Please let us know if you have any further issues. Thanks for your patience and your continued support as we work through this problem.

Q: I also have ordered your bread many times in the past and the loaf I got last week (label states it was made on 9/3) and it was molded by 9/12... usually I get 2-3 weeks out of it. Personally I wonder about the new bags you use; they don’t feel as breathable as the old bread bag.

Q: I’ve ordered this bread once before. This second time it got moldy really quickly and had 7 slices to throw away. I stored a t the same as previously. I really like this bread but if I’m going to throw 5$ of it away it’s not worth it. How do you suggest storing it? Was there a recipe mistake? It seemed denser than the first order. Please let me know

A: Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. This is the first we are aware of any problems. Even though this bread typically has a 3 week shelf life, make certain it is not setting in direct sunlight. It can always be refrigerated for weeks or frozen for 12 months. WE WILL GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVED. We are very sorry for your unfortunate experience.

Q: is the wheat your use and the other ingredients as well organic?

A: The wheat and flax were certified organic. They still raise it the same but do not get the government label because it's a costly process that requires an annual payment to the government to keep the organic label.

Q: How many carbs per slice?

A: 28g of carbs per slice including 5g of fiber. These are complex carbs because the crushed wheat is not refined making it NON-INFLAMMATORY.

Q: Is this bread ok to eat if I am gluten free?

A: The bread has gluten in it but it remains inactive due to the wheat being gently crushed versus ground. Many people with gluten intolerance have eaten the bread without any issues. See the website for some testimonies.

Q: I did some research on this type of bread and found a web site that sells this bread at whole cellared.com. Are you connected with this company. I am trying a loaf. My husband is diabetic and the site said this bread works better for diabetic.
